Providing links to historical records is a community effort. GHA digitization efforts are going into information specific to the Town of Genoa. But a lot of Genoa information is embedded within county and state and national records. As we work to digitize our GHA historical records, we will use this page to link to other online resources so we don’t duplicate work that has already been done.

Cayuga Museum houses the Cayuga County Historical Society (1876-1976) collection, and has organized multiple collection son Cayuga County History
The New York Genealogical and Biographical Society hosts the New York State Census Records. They offer some online courses (for a fee) on how to conduct family history research.
