The Genoa Historical Association – and the preservation of our local history – relies on membership, donations, volunteers, and a supportive community. These allow us to host diverse programs, house, manage and display our historical documents and artifacts, and much more.
Paid membership is essential for paying our programs and sharing our resources. As of 2024, Annual membership is only $18, and supports:
- Educational programs that focus on our local history
- Resources to assist you with genealogy research
- Preservation of our historical records, structures and landmarks
- Four issues of the Genoa-King Ferry/Southern Cayuga Tribune

*Membership also makes a wonderful gift for your out-of-town family and friends – so they can receive the tribune to stay informed about what’s going on.
Other ways to support GHA.
There are many other ways you can support the GHA:
- Share your knowledge – offer to present an educational program that supports our local history, or work with us to organize an event of interest.
- Volunteer your time -assist with building and lawn maintenance, volunteer as a docent, write for the Tribune, assist with staffing events.
- Join a committee – work with us in planning events, preserving and managing collections, managing the buildings and properties, collaborating with schools and other organizations, pursuing grants, etc.
Remember without your support our history will just fade away…
